Procedure Types

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Upon arriving at our office, you will have blood drawn from your arm that is equivalent to approximately 3 tsp. This blood will be processed resulting in a concentrated mixture, approximately ½ tsp., of platelets of your blood to stimulate healing in the knee joint. The PRP will be injected in the knee after the stem cells have been injected.

Autologous Stem Cell Therapy

After we harvest (collect) the stem cells from your belly fat and concentrate them into a volume of about ½ tsp., Dr. Woodson will clean the skin over the knee and numb it. He will inject the stem cells into the joint followed by an equivalent volume of platelet-rich plasma that has been obtained from a blood sample taken upon your arrival to the office. You will return in one month for a second PRP injection to support the stem cell growth.
