Menopause happens quickly.

The general process of menopause is gradual. Women don’t stop having their monthly menstrual cycle overnight, but instead the process can take between 3 to 5 years. During this time, the ovary is fluctuating and causing fluctuations in hormone levels. This, in turn, can cause periods to be heavier some months and lighter other months. Eventually, a woman will stop having her period altogether, but the process there is gradual.

You can’t counter the effects of menopause.
